About Pitmaster Tools

Pitmaster Tools is a free suite of BBQ calculators built for backyard cooks and competition pitmasters. Every tool is a single-page calculator that runs entirely in your browser — no account, no app to install, no data stored anywhere.

The goal is simple: take the math out of the cook so you can focus on fire management, bark development, and the rest. Cook times come from the same formulas professional pitmasters use, adjusted for smoker temperature and wrap method. Serving math uses real shrinkage percentages by cut so you buy the right amount of raw meat every time.

All tools support both imperial and metric units. Your unit preference is saved in your browser so you don't have to toggle it on every page. The site is ad-supported and free to use — no paywalls, no premium tiers, no email required.
